Thank you for visiting our website. Here you can find out which data is processed when you visit this website, for what purpose and on what legal basis. In short: this site does not set cookies, does not embed any third-party services and measures visits without recognising individual persons.

2. Hosting

This website is operated by our web service provider on a server provided by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. The server is located in a data centre in Germany. Our web service provider acts as a processor on our behalf in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR and is bound by our instructions; we have concluded a corresponding contract with them.

The name resolution (DNS) of the domain is handled by Cloudflare, Inc. The content of this site is not delivered via Cloudflare, but directly from our server in Germany.

3. Server log files

When you access this site, the server automatically stores information transmitted by your browser: the address requested, date and time, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL and IP address. We need this information to deliver the site securely and without technical errors and to fend off attacks. It is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The log files are deleted automatically after 14 days.

4. Encryption, no cookies, no third-party services

The connection to this site is encrypted via TLS (recognisable by “https” and the padlock in the address bar). This site does not set cookies and does not store anything on your device. Fonts, images and films are hosted on our own server; no content is loaded from Google, social networks or other providers.

5. Audience measurement with Umami

To understand how our site is used, we use the open-source web analytics tool Umami. Umami is operated by our web service provider on its own server in Germany; no data is passed on to third parties.

Umami does not set cookies and does not store any information on your device. It records the page visited, the referring source, browser and device type, screen size, language and country. We also count how often certain buttons are clicked, for example call, WhatsApp, directions, the menu as a PDF or opening WhatsApp from the reservation form; what you enter in a form is not recorded. To distinguish between visits, a hash value is generated that changes daily and cannot be traced back; your IP address is not stored in the process. Visitors are not recognised beyond the day and no user profiles are created.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the statistical evaluation of usage in order to improve our offering. You can object to the measurement at any time, an informal message to patchakeidel@gmail.com is sufficient.

6. Google Search Console

We use Google Search Console provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It shows us which search terms our site appears for in Google Search, how often it is clicked and whether Google can crawl it without errors. These figures come from Google Search itself. Nothing is embedded on this website for this purpose, and no data about you is transmitted to Google when you visit our site. We have confirmed ownership of the domain via a DNS entry.

7. Evaluation in our statistics dashboard

We view the aggregated figures from Umami and Google Search Console in a password-protected statistics dashboard run by our web service provider, which is also hosted on servers in Germany. Only totals and proportions appear there, such as visits per page or search terms, and no data that could be used to identify individual visitors. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

8. Contact, reservations and pre-orders

If you call us or write us an email or a WhatsApp message, we process your details (such as name, telephone number, date, time and number of guests) in order to handle your enquiry, reservation or order. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. We delete the details as soon as the enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

The forms for table reservations and Hot Pot pre-orders do not store or send anything themselves. They only prepare a message and open WhatsApp with it; nothing is sent until you tap send in WhatsApp yourself. WhatsApp is subject to the terms of WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland, a company of the Meta group. In the process, data may be transferred to the USA; Meta is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Emails to us are processed via our email provider Google (Gmail).

9. Links to other providers

The “Get directions” button opens Google Maps in a new window. You only leave our site with this click; after that, the privacy policy of Google applies.

10. Your rights

You have the right to information about your data stored by us (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). An informal message to patchakeidel@gmail.com is sufficient.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg (Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg), Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany.
